the Job Training
Training
by an employer that is provided to a paid participant
while engaged in work that:
-
Provides knowledge or skills for a specific
job
-
Provides reimbursement to employer of up to
50% of the wage rate
-
Employer must plan to keep trainee as full-time
employee past training
One
the Job Training Guidelines:
- Limited
for 1 to 12 month time period
- Can
be done with new or employed workers
- Can
be combined with other training
- Person
receiving training must be under income level
of $20.00 hourly or $41,600 annually

needed to retain/upgrade employee
- Employer
pays for at least 50% of the cost of the
training

submits a one page plan

for upgrading, retention or increase of
employee wages
- Business
seeking customized training must have a
physical presence in the GLOW region
- Employees
must be under $20.00 hourly or $41,600 annually
self-sufficiency income rate for WIA funding.
Assistance available in finding other funding
options
- 50%
of the employer training costs can be reimbursed
